Sometimes a denture reline is needed because the bones and tissue in your mouth change over time, which can cause the dentures to slip, causing you discomfort. Simply put, to reline dentures means to adjust the denture base to fit with your changing mouth.

Denture Repair Lab

Dr. Turner and the technicians in our denture repair lab can perform a denture reline while you wait. The process begins by removing a layer of the existing denture surface. A putty-like material is applied and then inserted into your mouth to make an exact impression of your denture area, much like when you got new dentures. Once the impression has hardened, we use it to create a new surface base for the existing denture teeth.

Denture adhesives, while a great way to help keep well-fitting dentures in place, should not be used in place of regular denture relining.
